Suzuki Launches Two New Cars at GIIAS 2022

The 2022 GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) will certainly be the launch stage for Suzuki's two new car candidates in the country.

Interestingly, PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) also confirmed that the two new cars will be launched simultaneously, during the opening of GIIAS 2022 which takes place on Thursday (11/8).

Through its official statement, SIS admitted that the two new cars were their efforts to stimulate the automotive market and appreciation for the country's automotive lovers.

Head of Brand Development & Marketing Research 4W PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS), Harold Donnel Tampubolon, had also previously confirmed this as quoted from GridOto.com.

"For the first time, Suzuki Indonesia presents two of our best products at one time," said the man who is familiarly called Harold, on Thursday (28/7/2022).

"It's great that we can introduce so many Suzuki products to the Indonesian market," he continued.

The Japanese automotive giant has also given clues to the Indonesian public, through a teaser image shared through their social media platforms.

When referring to the silhouette image exhibited in the teaserIt is certain that Suzuki's two new cars will fill different segments.

There was one compact design car that was strongly suspected to be a Suzuki S-Presso, while the other was a hatchback which is believed to be an improved version of the Baleno Hatcback.

It's no secret that Suzuki intends to bring the S-Presso to Indonesia to replace the Karimun Wagon R, which was 'injected to death' in early 2022.

In fact, the Suzuki S-Presso was also spotted without camouflage on Indonesian roads, being transported by a container truck for delivery.

Not only that, Suzuki's authorized dealers have also been observed to have opened the S-Presso booking tap since July 2022 for interested prospective consumers.

"Prospective customers can pay booking fee Rp 2.5 million," said a salesperson from one of Suzuki's authorized dealers in Jakarta some time ago. This confirms that the plan to launch a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV)-style City Car is not just a figment of the imagination.
