Honda's Legendary Classic Duck Releases Its Modern Version

Classic motorcycle enthusiasts should be familiar with the legendary Honda Super Cub.

For those who don't know, the Super Cub is one of the legendary products from Honda that has been around since 1958.

Well, recently, Honda re-released a modern version of the Honda Super Cub, with a look that emphasizes the function as a commercial motorcycle, called the Super Cub 110 Pro.

The Honda Super Cub 110 Pro uses the base of the latest Super Cub 110 sold in Japan, but has been given some changes to make it more powerful for carrying goods.

For example, at the front of the motorcycle, the headlamp and the turn signal that used to be on the handlebar has been moved to the front of the large basket.

The relocated position of the lamp is so that when carrying goods, the beam of light still functions optimally without being obstructed by luggage.

Then, to make it safer when parking or stopping on an incline, the Super Cub 110 Pro is equipped with a front brake locking feature similar to a matik scooter.

Because of these changes, the handlebars were also changed to use an open model, giving a more compact impression.

In addition, the front fender has also become slimmer, so the front triangle area is more exposed.

Then the seat also changed to the model single seat because the section that was previously for passengers has now become a luggage rack.

For specifications, the Honda Super Cub 110 Pro and Super Cub 110 also use the same engine, 109.9 cc with a smart engine label.

It is claimed to have a power of around 8k at 7,500 rpm with a maximum torque of 8.8 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

Quoting from the honda.co.jp page, the fuel consumption of this motorcycle is also relatively economical, at 67.4 km per liter.

Moving on to the legs, the rims now use a 14-inch cast wheel model, smaller than the standard Super Cub 110 which uses a 17-inch size. Meanwhile, the front braking system uses discs with ABS.

This motorcycle launches with one color option, namely Seychelle Blue Night aka dark blue white, and is priced at 346,500 yen or the equivalent of IDR 36.5 million (exchange rate 1 Yen = IDR 105.48 as of June 18, 2023).
