Good news for street racing fans. Polda Metro Jaya will again hold street racing activities (street race) fifth series in January 2023.
Well, this time Polda Metro Jaya will be holding a pre-event The Street Race will be held on Jl. H. Benyamin Sueb Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Sunday (18/12/2022).
The fifth series of pre-Street Race events will be enlivened by a moge parade, a 500-meter practice run.
"This is only a pre-Street Race joint exercise. There is no tournament or competition, the real Street Race will only be held in January 2023," said Iptu Yoga, Street Race organizer from Polda Metro Jaya as quoted from GridOto.com, Thursday (15/12/2022).
Yoga said he did not know for sure whether the pre-Street Race event would be attended by the Metro Jaya Police Chief.
"While the Kapolda has not been informed, because this is only a joint exercise, maybe later only Dirlantas. But later there may be changes to adjust to future developments," he explained.
For your information, Polda Metro Jaya tries to embrace and facilitate the young generation of speed lovers to seek achievements through official events, so that they no longer conduct illegal races that can disturb public order and security.
The activity is considered effective in reducing the number of illegal racing.
This is evident from the high interest of participants in the event, which has been held four times.
The first series of street racing was held in Ancol, the second series in BSD, South Tangerang, the third series in Meikarta, Cikarang, and the fourth series in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
Jalan Benyamin Sueb, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta is considered suitable as a street racing location.
The road construction at the location is considered suitable for racing and has sufficient area to accommodate racers and spectators.
