PT Piaggio Indonesia (PID) has just launched the latest Vespa GTS in the Indonesian automotive market, Tuesday (6/6) last night.
Located in the SCBD area of South Jakarta, PID released three GTS variants with a series of new features and looks.
"Now, Vespa GTS has become an icon of unstoppable greatness and offers satisfying technical details, top-notch safety and comfort," said Marco Noto La Diega, Managing Director and Country CEO of PT Piaggio Indonesia.
Vespa GTS is divided into three types, Classic, Super Sport and Super Tech as the flagship variant.
The Classic replaces the GTS Super that was previously marketed by PID.
Each is differentiated by color options, chrome accessories for the Classic, black tones in the Super Sport, equipment and features and engine.
The Classic and Super Sport types are equipped with a 155 cc 1-cylinder 4-valve engine with i-get (Italian Green Experience Technology) technology.
With a series of improvements, the engine produces more power than the previous model at 15.4 dk @ 8,250 rpm and 15 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm.
Meanwhile, Super Tech is loyal to the HPE 300 engine with a 1-cylinder 278.3 cc 4-valve liquid-cooled specification.
It produces 23.5 dk (17.5 kW) @ 8,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 26 Nm @ 5,250 rpm.
"Although they have the same body, the engine is more powerful," Marco told GridOto.
Even so, all three have basic similarities in the form of new looks and features.
Starting from the new LED headlight and taillight design, then the oval-style mirrors, handgrip design, new front tie design, keyless and bike finder features, lateral grid design or grille on the front body as well as the split five-spoke rim design.
Vespa GTS Classic is priced at IDR 78.8 million, then Super Sport IDR 84.55 million and Super Tech with a 300 HPE engine is the most expensive GTS at IDR 163.2 million.
