Even so, Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya has not yet calculated in detail the increase in vehicle volume. "Until last week, there was an increase in level 3 compared to level 4," explained Sambodo.
Based on data obtained in the first week of PPKM Level 3 implementation, Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya noted that the volume of vehicles increased by 20 percent.
Despite the increase, the number is said to be still lower than when the Micro PPKM was implemented.
"However, when compared to the emergency PPKM period or before the implementation of PPKM level 4 and micro PPKM in June 2021, the current mobility volume figure is still lower," he continued.
The data was obtained from reports through monitoring of CCTV footage on several roads.
Sambodo said that the increase occurred at certain hours such as when leaving and returning from work and school.
"Congestion especially occurs in the morning and evening," he said.
Hopefully, this is a good sign that things are starting to improve and this pandemic can soon be eliminated from the face of the earth.
