Suzuki Releases 125 CC Maxi Scooter

Suzuki has reportedly officially released a new motorcycle with a variety of maxi scooter-style designs, it seems that this motorcycle wants to head-to-head with Honda Vario and Yamaha Lexi.

As quoted from GridOto.com, Along with two other new scooters, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 made an appearance at the Intermot 2022 show in Germany.

Well, for those of you who don't know, the Suzuki Burgman itself was once present in the country, but it had large dimensions in the style of a big scooter and was equipped with a 200 cc engine.

In addition, it was rumored that the new Suzuki Burgman would come with a 150-170 cc engine to counter the Yamaha NMAX and Honda PCX.

It is now clear that the new bike that has finally been released has smaller dimensions and engine. Despite this, the design is still typical of the Suzuki Burgman.

Designed as a premium scooter with a compact size, its design lines appear rounded and tend to be elegant.

Looking from the front, there is an LED headlamp on the front cliff and separate turn signals on the side, combined with a LED headlamp. windshield at the top.

While the center carries a flat deck model that is fairly spacious, uniquely there are two choices of foot positions like the NMAX and PCX.

As for accommodation, there are two front deck drawers with 2A USB outlets and a 21.5-liter seat trunk.

The impression of a big scooter is still visible from the rear, because it uses LED stoplamps and turn signals that are integrated horizontally.

Technically, the engine is similar to the Avenis or Address 125 which are 125 cc SOHC 2-valve air-cooled and injection, but the technology is more advanced.

Labeled SEP-α, it is now equipped with various contemporary features such as Engine Auto Stop-Start (EASS), idling stop system, and Silent Start System.

The engine itself produces 8.4 dk @ 6,500 rpm and 10 Nm of torque @ 5,500 rpm, claimed to be economical because it can reach a distance of 52.6 km per liter.

In terms of features, there are side stand system and a fully digital instrument panel that looks similar to that of the Suzuki Avenis 125.

The braking system uses front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, which are equipped with a combi brake system.

Unlike the Avenis and Address 125, the Burgman Street uses 12-inch flat wheels with 90/90 front and 100/80 rear tires.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 has a ground clearance of 160 mm, a seat height of 780 mm, a weight of 112 kg and a petrol tank capacity of 5.5 liters.
