Street Racing Event to be Held in Bekasi

After a successful event in Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City, Banten, the police are planning to hold a new street race event again.

Street race aka the next street race will be held in Bekasi City, West Java.

This has even been confirmed directly by the Bekasi City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Hengki.

He explained that the preparation progress for street race in Bekasi City is said to have almost reached 100 percent.

The plan is for the racing event organized by the police to be held in the Bantargebang area.

"We are preparing for its location in Bantargebang, the route is almost complete," he explained, quoted from Kompas.com, Monday (09/05/2022).

Especially, for young people who are passionate about the automotive world in Bekasi City.

For your information, street race has been held twice in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya.

Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said that a similar activity would be held in the Bekasi area after Lebaran 2022.

"The next event will hopefully be held after Lebaran 2022, in May or early June at the latest," he said.

Sambodo continued, he hopes the event can grow and be filled with creative activities for young people.

"Because it is not fasting and hopefully Covid-19 has greatly decreased, so later we can marry the event with MSMEs, art performances and band festivals between high schools," he concluded.
