Rossi Comes and Gives Advice to His Students

MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi was finally seen at the 2023 Spanish MotoGP event on Saturday (29/4).

Valentino Rossi immediately approached his students, both those in the Mooney VR46 Racing Team garage and other teams.

The Doctor deliberately came to the Jerez Circuit to feel the thrill of the sprint race which became a new excitement in MotoGP 2023.

Rossi also came to monitor his students, as well as give some important advice.

"Coming back as a team owner feels more relaxed than being a driver," he was quoted as saying. GridOto.com.

"I'm proud of my team, Luca (Marini) and Marco (Bezzecchi), for all the work they do," explained the mentor.

One of those he highlighted was Pecco Bagnaia, who made fatal blunders in the last two series that cost him a lot of points.

Moreover, Bagnaia did not want to admit mistakes, to the point of saying that the Ducati motorbike was wrong because it was too good.

Based on the data and replays, the defending champion was too forceful and drove wide of the ideal lane.

"We talked a lot with Pecco when he came back, I tried to explain what he thought was wrong," said the owner of nine world titles.

"But it's hard to deal with it, to admit it, to apologize, when you make a mistake. I saw it, I asked him to go a little slower without making the same mistake," she explains.

As for Franco Morbidelli, The Doctor only suggested one thing because the Yamaha motorbike was not fast enough.

"The problem with this M1 is that it's difficult, Fabio Quartararo is really struggling, it's very difficult that you've been all out, but to fight for P8," said the teacher.

"He has to try, I just advise him to be as fast as Quartararo, and hope Yamaha can improve," he explained.

As for Marco Bezzecchi or Luca Marini, the former Yamaha factory team rider did not want to put any pressure.

"Marini is always curious, he asks a lot of questions and understands from others. In Austin he tried to understand Rins' secret, but (Rins) didn't want to divulge it," Rossi said with a laugh.

"They (Marini and Bezzecchi) are two strong riders, but they are different, they learn from each other. Bez is more explosive, with heart, he has to work hard for the championship," he explained.
