Resting at Rest Areas Will Have a Time Limit

During the Lebaran homecoming flow in 2022, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) plans to impose time restrictions on the use of rest areas.

This was revealed by Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head of Jasa Marga, Dwimawan Heru in the press conference of Jasa Marga Operational Standby for Eid al-Fitr 1443 H.

According to him, limiting the time to use the rest area is done to avoid congestion due to queues of vehicles in the rest area.

"We have discussed limiting the rest area time so that our other brothers can use it," Heru said in Bekasi, Monday (11/04/2022).

In addition to time restrictions in the rest area, his party will also implement an open and close rest area scheme if there is a buildup of vehicles.

Therefore, Heru appealed to toll road users to be able to obey officers when time restrictions to open and close rest areas are imposed.

Regarding the time limit and implementation of the rest area open-close, Director of Building and Facility Management of PT Jasa Marga Business Related (JMRB), Tita Paulina Purbasari, added that her party is still coordinating with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).

"The time limit in the rest area is still being coordinated with the Ministry of PUPR as the supervisor," said Tita.

For your information, Jasa Marga predicts that the peak flow of Lebaran homecoming this year will occur on April 29, 2022 or H-3 before Eid and the return flow on May 8, 2022 or H+5 Eid.

During the Lebaran homecoming moment, it is predicted that the volume of toll traffic in the 2022 Lebaran homecoming will experience a surge of more than 2.5 million vehicles.

The volume increased significantly compared to the Covid-19 pandemic, such as Eid homecoming 2020, which recorded 900 thousand vehicles, and Eid homecoming 2021, which recorded 1.4 million vehicles.
