PUPR Minister Imbau Residents Mudik through Pansela

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, invites the public to utilize the Java South Coast Road (Pansela) as an alternative route for Lebaran 2023.

In addition to the Trans Java Toll Road, the North Coast (Pantura) and Central Java roads, this route can help reduce traffic congestion and provide an experience to enjoy the beautiful scenery and tourist attractions along the Pansela route.

"For this reason, I invite the public to take advantage of this Pansela Road, a road with beautiful scenery that passes through many beach tourist sites. To support the smooth flow of homecoming, the Ministry of PUPR itself has prepared 503 posts on the Pansela Line spread from Banten Province to East Java which are equipped with duty officers and emergency response equipment.

The Ministry of PUPR's Lebaran Mudik Post is located in a number of locations, including Cijulang Highway - Green Canyon, Cimer Road - Pangandaran City Limits (Pansela in West Java), Daendels Road, Sawah, Depokrejo, Purworejo Regency (Pansela in Central Java), and Tepus - Jerukwudel Road, Gunung Kidul Regency (Pansela in Yogyakarta).

This post provides information about Pansela and rest facilities such as toilets and prayer rooms, and serves as an anticipation in case of disaster.

The Pansela route stretches from Banten Province to East Java. In Banten Province, this route stretches from Simpang Labuhan - West Java Province Boundary to 169.5 km.

In West Java Province, it stretches from the Banten-Sindang Barang Provincial Boundary to the Central Java Provincial Boundary for 417.1 km.

In Central Java Province, the line stretches from the West Java Provincial Boundary-Congot-Duwet to Glonggong for 212.5 km.

Furthermore, in Yogyakarta Province, the line stretches from Karang Nongko-Legundi to Duwet for 120.8 km.

Finally, in East Java Province, the line stretches from Panggul - Sendangbiru - Jarit - Puger to Glenmore for 627.6 km.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Central Java National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN), Wida Nurfaida, said that of the total length of the Pansela route in the Central Java region of 212.5 km, the route that has been handled is 168.7 km, so there are still 43.77 km left for Central Java.

The unaddressed lines are in the 29.74 km Slarang - Adipala - Ayah/Bodo section and the 14.03 km Ayah/Bodo - Jladri section.

"So in combined progress 80% have been built and while the rest are under construction," said Wida.

Although there is still work left, Wida ensures that it will not be an obstacle for travelers.

"Because, the Ministry of PUPR team together with the Korlantas Polri and the Regional Government will divert vehicle users and connect with the nearest national road or connected district / provincial roads," he concluded.
