Finally, the Wonderful Indonesia logo is officially displayed on the Ducati bike of the Gresini Racing team in the 2022 MotoGP.
This is thanks to the cooperation between the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and the Gresini Racing team for the 2022 season championship.
The ministry led by Sandiaga Uno appointed Gresini Racing as an ambassador in the MotoGP world championship.
The selection of Gresini Racing as the ambassador of Wonderful Indonesia is because of its good relationship with several brand from Indonesia.
Federal Oil, Aspira, Antangin, and Bold Riders have all been familiar with the Italian team in recent years.
Gresini Racing even mentioned the important role of the Indonesian sponsor several times when the team restarted the independent team project since 2022.
Moreover, Gresini was a little shaky when Fausto Gresini passed away on February 23, 2021.
Aside from financial matters, the presence of Indonesian sponsors also makes the Gresini name more popular with Indonesian racing fans.
"It's a partnership at the perfect time, where Gresini and the whole of paddock back to Indonesia for the first time in two decades," read the Gresini team's official announcement.
"The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is proud of the collaboration we have made with Gresini Racing," Sandiaga Uno said.
"This collaboration was made by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and Gresini was created as a promotional tool that increases awareness of Indonesian tourism and the creative economy globally," he explained.
Sandiaga Uno also hopes that brands Indonesia will be more famous after this cooperation.
Well, Let's just pray that a lot of money from the Indonesian people disbursed to a racing team that is arguably one of the mediocre teams in MotoGP can really be useful with the achievement of an increasing number of foreign tourists in the years to come.
