There is a new breakthrough from PLN Bali to socialize electric vehicles. If previously known as Sunmori alias Sunday Morning Ride which is popular among bikers, now there is "Afternoon Cruisin". Not just any activity cruisingThis activity is a forum to introduce electric vehicles more closely to various groups, including through the automotive community..

Quoted from the news agency BetweenPT PLN (Persero) UID Bali is collaborating with the Dewata EV Association Community to work together to popularize electric-powered vehicles. The trick is to take part in the event Mototribe Show which was held in Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali.

"We hope that this event will be able to contribute to the revival of Bali's economy through the automotive industry," explained PLN UID Bali Marketing Manager Oscar Praditya via written statement, Sunday (27/6/2021).

On that occasion, PLN & DEVA showcased electric vehicles to further popularize electrifying lifestyle. Oscar Praditya said that his party invited the public to try electric vehicles through test drive activities provided at the event. The goal is that anyone who tries can find out the features of the environmentally friendly vehicle. This is Afternoon Cruisin by trying out an electric motorcycle.

"We have collaborated with various parties such as Gesits, Makara, United T1800, BF Goodrich, Selis and Viar who have provided their vehicles," he said.

Meanwhile, Indonesian Electric Motor Community representative Peter Kho explained that currently Indonesia is an oil importer country where part of the state budget is charged to bring in oil from abroad.

"Indonesia is no longer an exporter, so that condition burdens our state budget. If many people switch to electric vehicles, then the state budget can be surplus and the budget can be utilized for other more useful allocations," explained Peter Kho.

In addition, there are many benefits that can be felt if people switch to electric vehicles. Among other things, air pollution and noise pollution are reduced.

"The electric vehicle industry has been supported by the Government, and PLN as one of the drivers has also provided charging station infrastructure, namely SPKLU, which makes it easier for electric drivers to recharge," he continued.

At the event Mototribe Show Bali, MPR Speaker Bambang Soesatyo also visited the electric vehicle exhibition booth.

"I appreciate PLN for playing an active role in the creative industry in encouraging the development of electric vehicles, especially the conversion of motor vehicles to electricity," he said in response to the presence of this clean energy-powered motorcycle.
