
The police plan to impose traffic engineering to unravel the density of vehicles observed starting to be congested on the Cipali Toll Road on Thursday, (5/5/2022).
As stated by Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, the engineering that was chosen to be applied was one lane alias one way and contraflow.
"Based on the results of coordination with relevant stakeholders and PT Jasa Marga that the Cipali toll road cannot accommodate the density of traffic flow both on lanes A and B with VCR (volume capacity Ratio) of 1.19," said Kombes Pol Sambodo, Thursday (5/5/2022).
According to Sambodo, traffic flow data on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 06.00 WIB to 18.00 WIB that has passed through the Cipali toll road section has an increasing trend.
"Based on monitoring through CCTV both in NTMC and PJR command centers and digital maps, there is an increase in traffic flow movements from east to west," he said.
Sambodo said, from the monitoring of members in the field both from Central Java Police, West Java Police, Polda Metro Jaya and Korlantas, the traffic flow had increased compared to the previous day.
Based on this, for the sake of security and safety as well as the smoothness of the return flow, traffic engineering will be implemented. oneway as follows:
A. One way will be enforced on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11:00 to 24:00 WIB starting from the main Palimanan GT KM 188 to KM 72 Cikampek followed by contra flow to the Jakarta Cikampek KM 47 toll road.
B. Vehicles going to Bandung and Cikampek are given 1 lane relaxation.
C. If the density of traffic flow begins to decrease then the implementation of engineering oneway will end ahead of schedule.
However, if the density increases beyond the maximum limit, the oneway traffic engineering will be increased from the main Palimanan GT KM 188 to the Jakarta Cikampek toll road KM 47 (without relaxation) and extended.
D. The mechanism before the implementation of oneway traffic engineering will be carried out sterilization / cleaning both on the lane and rest area for 2 hours before the implementation of oneway traffic engineering (09.00) after which the oneway traffic engineering will begin at 11.00 WIB.
E. The mechanism after the implementation of the oneway at 24.00 WIB will be carried out normalization both on the lane and in the rest area for 2 hours after the implementation of the oneway (02.00 WIB) after which the lane will be opened normally.
