Maverick Vinales is the fastest despite only taking part in the second day of testing

New to the track on the second day of the 2022 MotoGP shakedown test, Maverick Vinales immediately closed the session as the fastest driver at the Sepang Circuit, Malaysia on Tuesday (1/2/2022).

Quoted from GridOto.com, Maverick Vinales managed to record a time of 1 minute 59.833 seconds on the Aprilia RS-GP motorbike.

The time recorded by the former Yamaha and Suzuki rider, was the only one who was able to break 1 minute 59 seconds at the shakedown test this time.

Vinales also beat the time of Raul Fernandez, who was the fastest rider on the first day.

While during this second day, Fernandez was only able to occupy the fourth fastest position.

While the second position is held by Ducati test rider Michele Pirro, followed by rookie Mooney VR46 Racing Team's Marco Bezzecchi in third place.

Michele Pirro was caught again using two different bikes during the second day of the session shakedown test This 2022 MotoGP.

Pirro is using the Desmosedici GP21 and the future Desmosedici GP22 and is still trying out some of the part the new Ducati.

On the other hand, Stefan Bradl and Honda, who were absent on the first day, finally made an appearance on the second day of the test.

As the test bike was still on its way, Honda assembled a new test bike for Bradl to use on the second day of the test.

Bradl was also forced to wear Pol Espargaro's racing suit and racing shoes because his racing equipment was still on the way with his RC213V bike.
