After starting the race quite well, Marc Marquez had to accept the fact of failing to finish in the 2023 Italian MotoGP race.
Marc Marquez has crash on lap six of the race, while competing for third against Luca Marini.
The eight-time world champion could not hide his disappointment, because he could actually fight for the podium at the Mugello Circuit.
"I was in control during the race. I put on tires softBut I didn't attack at the beginning to protect the tires," the rider said, as quoted from GridOto.com.
"I know my position is around sixth or seventh, but I'm already better than that," he explained.
Alex Marquez's brother also blamed the Honda RC213V bike for being too dangerous to ride.
The slightest mistake is enough to put the rider in a bad situation.
"I had a big vibration, it's been happening since the first lap. I locked up at Turn 10 and almost crashI don't understand why. Similar to the Portimao incident," continued the Repsol Honda team rider.
"Then my front tire also locked up in the last corner. I went wide, and that was my mistake. But I didn't lean more than usual, but there was a dirtier area on the asphalt and I crashed," he explained.
On the weekend at the Mugello Circuit, there were already two Honda riders who suffered severe injuries due to dangerous bikes.
First there was Joan Mir who injured his little finger in a training session, which eventually made him withdraw.
The second incident was experienced by Alex Rins who broke his leg when he crashed in the race sprint.
"Friday we have Mir, Saturday we have Rins, I hope they recover soon. Finally it was my turn. Luckily for me, I didn't get injured," he continued.
"I kept trying to control myself there because I know crashing at high speed will make you injured, like Mir and Rins," he said.
Marquez also put pressure on his engineers to fix the Honda bike that was too dangerous.
The Honda RC213V crashes too often and its riders could be finished due to injury after crash.
"We are too often crash. Our riders have a winning mentality, but with that mentality but no chance, you will crash more often," he said.
