It is undeniable that this pandemic situation has disrupted many activities. One of them is activities to gather with community friends. For this reason, a virtual gathering event Ngobrol Online Seputar Komunitas (Ngoprek) was created by PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM). At the event held on Thursday (12/8/2021), it turned out that AHM presented a surprise guest. The guest was the Repsol Honda Team rider, Marc Marquez. The rider with number 93 encouraged the Honda community in today's challenging conditions.
With a theme titled "Keep The Dream Alive in Challenging Times," as many as 80 bikers of the Honda community were inspired by six-time MotoGP world champion Marquez to keep their spirits up in the face of the current pandemic conditions and continue to achieve their dreams, and spread positive energy as a Honda community.
"Keep up the spirit. Be a proud Honda community by not giving up in realizing your dreams," said Marquez, in his official statement. Get information, inspiration and insight in your email.
Pol Espargaro also addressed the Honda community. Pol invited representatives of Honda communities from various segments and associations throughout Indonesia to continue to make positive contributions and adhere to health protocols. "In the current pandemic conditions, stay healthy and always adhere to health protocols. Do a lot of good things and make strong contributions to many people. We can face and do this together," said Pol.
At this special edition of Ngoprek, several community representatives also had the opportunity to have a casual chat directly with Marquez. The Spanish rider shared his experiences and tips in an effort to continue to encourage himself, compete, and achieve his dreams in the MotoGP event, despite the current challenging conditions. In addition to Marquez, AHM also presented Astra Honda Racing Team (AHRT) rider who is competing in the FIM CEV Moto3™ Junior World Championship, Mario Suryo Aji. Mario also encouraged the Honda community to stay together to fight through this pandemic. "We hope that the presence of Marc Marquez and a message of encouragement from Pol Espargaro can provide an injection of motivation with the spirit of One Heart to the Honda community to keep working, achieving dreams, and contributing positively to society," said AHM General Manager Marketing, Planning, and Analysis Andy Wijaya. The Honda motorcycle community also shared and helped others in the midst of this pandemic with various positive activities, such as distributing food and vitamin aid packages for ambulance drivers, hundreds of aid packages for orphans and the poor, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical personnel and the community. In addition, caring actions from the Honda community were also carried out in other forms, such as planting 10,000 trees at Bukit Mekaki Sekotong, West Lombok (11/4), building a reading park in Mosso Village, Papua (24/2), and assistance in the form of basic food packages during the earthquake disaster in Mamuju, West Sulawesi (26/2), and flash floods in East Nusa Tenggara (29/4).
