Did you know that the classification of driver's license (SIM) C is planned to be implemented this month.

"Riding a Harley requires special skills, so we strongly agree with the classification of C1 and C2 driver's licenses," said Agit. According to him, this new regulation can avoid arrogant big motorcycle (moge) riders. The reason is, riding a Harley-Davidson itself is very different compared to riding other motorcycles. In addition, the classification of SIM C is stated in Police Regulation (Perpol) Number 5 of 2021 concerning the Issuance and Marking of Driver's License. The classification of this motorcycle license is differentiated based on the engine capacity of the motorcycle used.
- SIM C is valid for driving motorized vehicles of Motorcycle type with engine cylinder capacity up to 250 cc.
- The C1 driver's license is valid for driving motorized vehicles of motorcycle type with engine cylinder capacity above 250 cc up to 500 cc, or similar motorized vehicles that use electric power.
- A C2 driver's license is valid for driving motorized vehicles of motorcycle type with engine cylinder capacity above 500 cc or similar motorized vehicles that use electric power.
Regarding the requirements to upgrade to a driver's license C1, the applicant must be 18 years old and have had a C driver's license for one year. Meanwhile, if you want to upgrade to SIM C2, the minimum age of the applicant is 19 years old and has had a SIM C1 for a year.
