Enea Bastianini's Childhood Story

Enea Bastianini's parents have just revealed their son's childhood before becoming a retainer for the Ducati Lenovo team in MotoGP 2023.

Enea Bastianini's childhood turned out to be much different from the person of the MotoGP racer known to many today.

Today, Enea Bastianini is known as a quiet person who doesn't make much noise. statement in MotoGP, even though it used to be different.

Even when he was defending the Ducati Lenovo team, Bastianini still didn't seem to go out and hang out with other riders very often.

"In terms of character, little Enea is the opposite of now," Emilio Bastianini, Enea's father, said. GridOto.com.

"She was really rowdy as a child, whereas now she tends to be quiet. Until he was two years old, his mother and I couldn't sleep well," explains his father.

By the time she reached school, Bastianini's rowdy nature had diminished a little, but only a little.

But he gets into trouble more often and his parents are often called at school.

"Schools always have problems. Some teachers understand it, there are critical moments that are handled well, but some other teachers don't tolerate it," he continued.

"I had heard that he was said to be a criminal when he grew up," Emilio explains.

The mother, Antonella, said that her son likes to move and be noisy.

"He wasn't hyperactive as a child. He was just always moving around, unruly, but a good soul. He started to mature a bit when he was three or four," says the mother.

When things started to get a little more manageable, Emilio and Antonella decided to buy Enea a minimoto.

"Riding a minimoto makes him responsible. As a child she was always interested when she saw a motorcycle at the traffic lights. One day I took Enea to a scooter parts store and there was a minimoto so she got it there, she hasn't looked back since," said her father.

"I remember very well the moment under the traffic light, realizing his great passion. We then did a minimoto test and he was very fast," she explains.

Besides minimoto, Bastianini's mom and dad also introduced their son to swimming.

The 2020 Moto2 Champion showed his talent in the water.

"My wife and I didn't know much about motorcycle racing, so we also took her swimming. After just two or three practices, her instructor said that she had the potential to join a beautiful swimming competition," he continued.

"We like that because it's cheap. But we ran both, and then she won the Italian Junior A Championship," he explains.

Bastianini was even coached by Alicia Carretero, the Italian diving champion, who became her coach.

In the end, the 25-year-old's parents preferred the world of motorcycle racing, and Alicia Carretero also advised Bastianini to take up racing instead.
