One of the travelers' families in East Java is doing something crazy. To make you laugh, AS, an elementary school boy, was recently left behind at the rest area when going home with his family.
Quoted from several sources, this elementary school boy was left behind at the rest area Sutajayan Toll Road in Pasuruan, East Java, while going home with his family from Jakarta to Banyuwangi (26/4/2022).
His parents, Muhammad Haidar, continued their journey after taking a break and did not realize that their son was no longer in the car.
The incident started when the family was traveling from Jakarta to Banyuwangi.
On Tuesday, at around 4:30 a.m., they stopped at the rest area Exit Toll Sutajayan.
Haidar and his wife then got out of the vehicle, while AS slept in the back.
Not long after, AS woke up and said goodbye to his brother who was in the car to go to the toilet.
This was revealed by the Head of the Public Relations Section of the Pasuruan City Police (Kasi Humas Pasuruan Kota Police) Iptu Vita when contacted by telephone on Tuesday (26/4/2022).
"While AS was still in the toilet, his father and mother returned to the car. His father asked his brother if AS was still sleeping. His brother replied that he was still sleeping," said Vita.
"Without thinking, they immediately continued their journey," he said.
When he returned from the toilet, AS was confused because his parents' car was no longer in the parking lot.
Luckily for AS, there were officers on the ground at the time who immediately evacuated AS.
"Our officers who happened to be in the field at the time immediately evacuated AS. Based on the child's surname, it was finally traced that he had relatives in Pasuruan City," he said.
The officer took AS to his brother's house in the Karya Bakti Housing area, Gadingrejo Subdistrict, Pasuruan City.
