Indonesia Automotive Jamboree 2022 to be Held in Toba

A total of 54 representatives of motorcycle and car communities in the North Sumatra region attended the event. technical meeting at the Indonesian Overlanding Headquarters, on Jalan Rajawali 43, Medan, Saturday (17/9/2022) afternoon. 

Technical meeting was held in order to mention technical matters related to the Indonesian Automotive Jamboree (JOI) which took place at Pakkodian Beach, Lintong Nihuta Village, Toba Regency on September 23-25.

Chairman of Overlanding Indonesia in North Sumatra, Irmansyah Lubis said the Jamboree is a national agenda that will be held every year in different places.

"For this year, the activities are centered at Pakkodian Beach considering its beautiful and interesting location. Pakkodian Beach is located right on the edge of Lake Toba, ideal for family camping," said Irman who initiated the Jamboree.

The coordinator of the activity, Ahmady explained in detail about the technical matters of the jamboree starting from the re-registration issue for participants, vehicle parking, tent locations, various types of tents. games which participants will participate in, to other issues, including the availability of restrooms. 

Ahmady emphasized that the main purpose of this jamboree is to knit the friendship of fans touring and photography in North Sumatra in order to promote the potential of Toba Tourism. 

Meanwhile, the leaders of the motorcycle and car communities present were also determined to make the jamboree a success.

This Indonesian Automotive Jamboree will be even more interesting because it will be attended by Overlanding administrators from various provinces in Indonesia.  

In addition to the registered participants, the jamboree will also be attended by participants from East Java, Lampung, West Sumatra, Palembang and Banda Aceh.

"They came specifically because they wanted to see the atmosphere of the Jamboree managed by Overlanding Indonesia in the North Sumatra region. They also plan to organize events in their respective regions," said Ahmady. 

According to him, the Jamboree will most likely be attended by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) who is the founder of Overlanding Indonesia.

AHY together with the Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi and Toba Regent Poltak Sitorus will jointly open the way. 

The total number of Jamboree participants is estimated at 1,000 people with around 350 tents. The Automotive Jamboree at Pakkodian Beach is the first automotive enthusiast gathering event in Indonesia.
