Pansela route worth trying for 2022 homecoming

Recently, the South Coastal Road (Pansela) was declared suitable as an alternative route for homecoming this year, in addition to the North Coastal Road (Pantura) and Trans Java Toll Road.

It was even recommended by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono, when reviewing the Pansela Crossing Road in Wonogiri, on Saturday (9/4/2022).

The Pansela Line itself stretches up to 1,242 km in the south of Java Island, or precisely from Banten to Pacitan, East Java.

It passes through several regions and cities such as Cilacap, Kebumen, Wonogiri and Pacitan.

As reported by TribunSolo.com, the Pansela route in Wonogiri passes through a number of districts in the southern region, one of which is Pracimantoro District.

"In Pracimantoro, the Pansela route starts from Suci Village to Gedong Village," said Warsito, Pracimantoro Sub-District Head as quoted by TribunSolo.com.

Warsito hopes that travelers who pass through his area can bring blessings to the surrounding community during Lebaran homecoming.

Ahead of Lebaran homecoming this year, a number of people have also started to open businesses such as roadside stalls.

"Hopefully, travelers passing through Pansela can boost the community's economy," said Warsito.

One of the food stall owners on the Pansela route is Tumini (38), a resident of Pracimantoro sub-district.

"Hopefully, there will be many people going home through this route, and then stop by my stall," said Tumini.

According to Tumini, the income of stall owners in his area can increase with the crowds of visitors.

"The plan is that during the Eid holiday, I will open a stall both during the homecoming and return flows," he said.
