ITS Officially Launches Electric Formula Car to Race in Japan

The Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS) launched an electric-powered formula racing car on Friday (12/11).

The formula car named Anargya EV Mark 2.0 was unveiled by Vice Chancellor I, Prof. Dr. Ir Adi Soeprijanto MT at Graha Sepuluh November.

On that occasion, Adi Soeprijanto took the time to circle the Graha Sepuluh Nopember grounds using the Anargya EV Mark 2.0.

Adi also admitted that he was very happy and proud of the completion of the Anargya EV Mark 2.0, which has been accelerated since February 2021.

"Keep working (ITS students and students) to make ITS and Indonesia proud," Adi Soeprijanto was quoted as saying by TribunMadura.com.

He hopes that the students will not only focus on the competition, but can also develop into a startup company.

On that occasion also attended the Head of the Talent Development Section of the ITS Directorate of Student Affairs, Hakun Wirawasista Aparamarta, S.T, M.MT, Ph.D.

Hakun Wirawasista explained that this electric vehicle is the answer to future technological challenges. 

"The spirit of these students must be maintained to bring better changes for the nation," said Hakun.

For your information, the Anargya EV Mark 2.0 is being prepared for the Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (FSAE) Japan competition.

The driver and mechanical manager of the Anargya ITS team, Kevin Denio Setiawan, explained that the Mark 2.0 is a development of the Mark 1.0 used in 2019.

"With some changes, this car can travel up to 105 km per hour with a battery life of up to two hours," explains Kevin Denio Setiawan.

Some other changes include a tubular frame with better reliability compared to the previous model.

In addition, the Anargya EV Mark 2.0 has body and wing optimizations for more optimal aerodynamics.

"Even the suspension and handling are superior to the Mark 1.0. That way the comfort level is different," he added.

General Manager of Anargya ITS, Alifiansyah Yoga Pramono hopes that the car created by his team can contribute to the progress of the nation.

"We also hope to bring home achievements from the FSAE Japan 2022 event using this car," said Alfiansyah Yoga.
