Honda Presents the New Honda Civic Type R that Gets Sportier and More Aggressive

Sahabat Oto... PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) launched the latest model of the Honda Civic Type R on May 7, 2021, in Indonesia. The New Honda Civic Type R comes with an increasingly sporty and aggressive look with several changes to the exterior and interior. This is also the first time HPM has refreshed the Honda Civic Type R after it was first launched at the GIIAS event in August 2017.

The Type R is a race-inspired variant of Honda's legendary sports car that can also be safely and comfortably used on city streets. The New Honda Civic Type R is a development of the 10th generation Honda Civic which has long earned a good reputation around the world with its latest achievement being the record holder for the fastest front-wheel drive car at the Suzuka circuit, Japan which recorded a Lap Time of 2 minutes 23.993 seconds.

The New Honda Civic Type R gets some updates in terms of exterior and interior appearance. From the exterior side, the appearance of the New Honda Civic Type R reaffirms the sporty character with a new design on the front and rear bumpers. The 20" Alloy Wheels are also equipped with the New Tire Pressure Monitoring System to monitor tire pressure that can be seen by the user on the instrument panel. Drivers will be warned through the MID screen when the system detects tire pressure that is less than standard.

In terms of the interior, HPM added New Wireless Charging at the front of the cabin, which makes it easier for users to charge their smartphones as well as a new design on the Shift Knob that looks more sporty. There are also changes to the steering wheel with a new material, the New Alcantara Wrapped Steering Wheel, which provides an ideal thickness to allow users to feel a better grip.

HPM has also made several updates to the New Honda Civic Type R's systems that allow it to achieve greater stability and durability than before. There is the addition of the New 2 Piece Disk Brake, when it is in a corner to maneuver, the New Honda Civic Type R delivers the best quality braking through two pieces of front rotors that can produce cooling when friction occurs. The Adaptive Damper System on the New Honda Civic Type R also gets a re-setting that allows the car to have a more compliant and comfortable ride quality during driving with better damping for all modes.
