Indonesia 2022 MotoGP Race Results and Provisional 2022 MotoGP Standings

On Sunday, March 20, 2022, Red Bull KTM team rider Miguel Oliveira won the 2022 Indonesian MotoGP race at the wet Mandalika Circuit.

Oliveira won after starting the race from seventh position and surviving a battle with several riders in the front group.

The Portuguese rider was able to maintain consistency from start to finish, and finally won the trophy which was directly handed over by President Jokowi.

The second position was secured by the 2021 MotoGP winner, Fabio Quartararo, who started the race from pole position.

Quartararo actually struggled at the start of the race, but slowly he found his rhythm again until he finally managed to take second place.

The Yamaha rider actually tried to catch Oliveira in the last 4 laps, unfortunately Oliveira was still too fast on this wet track condition.

This result is very good for the 2021 MotoGP world champion because the YZR-M1 actually struggles in wet conditions.

Behind El Diablo was his partner, Johann Zarco, who won a tight battle until the last lap with Jack Miller.

Alex Rins rounded out the top five, having fought for the podium with several riders ahead of him.

The inaugural MotoGP premier class race at the Mandalika Circuit was delayed due to bad weather.

Fortunately, after a few hours of waiting, the race was able to restart smoothly.

The track condition was still wet but it was better than before.

Unfortunately for the fans on the circuit, Marc Marquez withdrew from the race after his crash in the warm-up session, reportedly with a concussion.

Due to a serious concussion, Marquez was ruled out of the race at the Indonesian circuit.

Here are the results of the 2022 Indonesian MotoGP race:

After winning in the 2022 Indonesian MotoGP series, Miguel Oliveira managed to bring his name up to the top of the 2022 MotoGP standings.

Currently, Oliveira is ranked fourth in the standings with 25 points from what he got at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Enea Bastianini, who finished 11th, still maintains his position as the top of the 2022 MotoGP standings.

The Gresini Racing driver earned an additional five points, and now leads the standings with a total of 30 points.

Meanwhile, behind Bastianini is Oliveira's colleague in the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, Brad Binder, who now has 28 points.

Binder and Oliveira's achievements in the first two MotoGP 2022 racing series made the KTM manufacturer dominate the current constructor and team standings.

A good start for the KTM factory in MotoGP 2022, under the leadership of new boss Francesco Guidotti.

Meanwhile, Monster Energy Yamaha team rider and 2021 MotoGP winner, Fabio Quartararo, who won the second podium at the Mandalika Circuit, is now ranked third in the 2022 MotoGP standings. His achievements this time certainly continue to maintain his hopes of trying to defend the title.
