Even Odds Still Apply on the Peak Line

Entering the Nyepi holiday, an odd-even system will be enforced on the route to the Puncak area, Bogor, West Java.

The implementation of the even-odd system on the Puncak route was carried out by the Bogor Police Traffic Unit from March 21 to 26, 2023.

"Today is one day before the national holiday (Nyepi), then on Thursday it is still joint leave, Friday is also one day before the weekend, so from this afternoon to Sunday morning we will carry out an even odd system," explained KBO Satlantas Bogor Police, Iptu Ardian Novianto, quoted from the NTMC Polri page, Tuesday (21/3/2023).

Especially on Friday, the odd-even system will adjust the volume of vehicles because it has entered the month of Ramadan which is usually less crowded.

"If the vehicles are quiet, we don't do even-odd," he said.

Even so, Ardian revealed that the volume of vehicles on the Puncak Line since yesterday Monday (3/2023), there was an increase.

This condition is expected to continue until entering the fasting month.

"Yesterday many people held meetings before Ramadan, the traffic flow had increased compared to normal days. School children are also off ahead of the fasting month, so we predict the density will increase," he said.

Quoting from Kompas.comThere are several routes in the Puncak area that are included in the area of vehicle restrictions on this Nyepi holiday, namely the direction of the Gadog intersection, Jalan Raya Puncak to Simpang Empat Tugu, Lampu Gentur Cianjur Regency.

Then the direction of Simpang Empat Tugu Lampu Gentur Cianjur Regency to Gadog Junction, Puncak Highway.

Vehicles heading towards Taman Safari are also restricted to vehicles with odd-numbered plates.
