Formula E Jakarta 2024 to be Held on Roads

The discourse of the Formula E Jakarta 2024 racing event is in the process of being discussed by related parties.

It's just that there is one thing that attracts public attention, namely the plan for Formula E Jakarta 2024 to no longer be held in the Ancol area, North Jakarta.

In fact, the plan for Formula E Jakarta 2024 is to use public street tracks, or more commonly called street circuit.

This has been revealed by the Chairman of the Formula E 2023 Steering Committee (SC), Bambang Soesatyo, who claimed to have coordinated with the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono.

Not only that, he also discussed with Formula E's Chief Championship Officer, Alberto Longo regarding the use of the street circuit for the upcoming Formula E Jakarta 2024.

"So, the plan is to use street circuitThis means that it will be held on public roads," said the man who is familiarly called Bamsoet, quoted from Tribundepok.com, Tuesday (03/14/2023).

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Organizing Committee (OC) Formula E 2023, Ananda Mikola revealed that there are several alternatives that can be used for the upcoming Formula E 2024 event.

From the observations that have been made, Jalan Sudirman or in front of the DKI Jakarta City Hall has the potential to be used as a street circuit track.

"But it is still under discussion and hopefully Formula E 2024 can be held in another place, which indeed carries more of a street race concept," Ananda said.

Please note, the contract for the Formula E racing event in Jakarta will end in 2024.

However, Ananda is optimistic that the international racing contract can be extended until 2030.

"Later, if the negotiations are okay, we will contract until 2030, but we will discuss that later and now focus on 2024, which has an existing contract first," he concluded.
