Last weekend, Monster Energy Yamaha team rider Fabio Quartararo was clearly stricken with a sense of disappointment and severe frustration after the 2022 Thailand MotoGP race.
As quoted from GridOto.com, when doing the 2022 Thailand MotoGP race, Fabio Quartararo immediately lost many positions on the first lap to only be able to finish in 17th position without championship points.
In addition to the unpleasant news about being absent from media questions and answers, rumors emerged that none of the Yamaha crew dared to invite Fabio Quartararo to talk after the 2022 Thailand MotoGP race.
This was revealed by Yamaha's factory team manager, Massimo Meregalli, who also had to intervene in an interview with journalists at the Buriram Circuit.
"Of course this is a situation we don't like. We didn't talk to Fabio after the race, because he was very disappointed and frustrated," Meregalli said as quoted by Paddock-GP.
"After the race he went straight to his private room to cool his mind," said the Italian man who is familiarly called Maio.
Furthermore, according to Maio, the mechanics also had difficulties with El Diablo's condition.
Usually after the race there is a technical evaluation that is discussed with the drivers for improvement.
"So it's also difficult for us to conclude anything without talking to him. We have to talk, look at the telemetry and match it with his input," he continued.
Even so, Massimo Meregalli understands his rider's current condition and is ready to open a conversation with Quartararo.
"It's very difficult to understand. Of course for everyone this race is a gamble, because all the other sessions are dry and suddenly the race is raining. We did the same thing as in Indonesia, and there everything worked well," he continued.
"But here it's the opposite, the reason is not clear, we have to talk to him," she explains.
Meregalli believes Fabio Quartararo will soon get his spirit back to look forward to the remaining three series.
"The good thing about Fabio is that when he gets angry, 20 seconds later he can return to normal and focus on the next race," he continued.
