BMW Case of Unpaid Gasoline Filling in Jaksel Finally Ends in Peace

Recently, there was an uproar in cyberspace. A BMW 320i E90 driver with license plate B 1201 QZ in Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, filled up gas at a gas station, but ran away without paying. The incident occurred at the Bintaro Kodam 34-12304 Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) on Jalan Bintaro Permai Raya, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta on Friday (30/7/2021) at around 04.15 WIB. The incident was recorded by CCTV cameras and circulated virally on social media. The gas station officer on duty at the time, Dhiaz Adiansyah, said that initially the car came to fill up Pertamax Turbo. The BMW driver asked Dhiaz about the payment method. "Then he said 'I can use debit, Bang,' then I said 'I can Bang,' finally I filled it up first," Dhiaz said on Friday (7/30/2021) afternoon.

After filling 61 liters of gasoline, Dhiaz asked the BMW car driver about the debit payment method. He also asked the BMW car driver to wait because he had to take the EDC machine at another pom pole. However, unfortunately for Dhiaz, the driver immediately ran away when Dhiaz was caught off guard. Dhiaz said, when charging, the driver had opened his car glass. According to him, the perpetrator, whose appearance was not too clear because he was wearing a mask, was very young. In the end, he and his two colleagues inevitably had to bear a loss of IDR 602 thousand.

However, the incident that received criticism from netizens finally ended peacefully. According to information from the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of Pesanggrahan Police, AKP Achmad Fajrul Chior, the family of the BMW 320i E90 driver has met with the Bintaro Kodam 34-12304 gas station. There is goodwill from the perpetrator's family and this chaos has been resolved in "kinship". Fajrul said that the BMW driver was a teenage boy who was on a whim. "The motive is idle. The person who came back to the gas station was his family, namely the BMW driver's brother," he added. The family of the BMW 320i E90 driver is known to have paid the Pertamax Turbo filling bill that was not paid.
