The fake oil warehouse that was raided by the police was located in Kampung Cilongok, on Jalan Raya Pasar Kemis, Sukamantri Village, Pasar Kemis District, Tangerang Regency. It was not the Tangerang Police who dismantled the fake oil warehouse, but the South Kalimantan Police.
Based on the results of the raid, the South Kalimantan Police found as many as 32,844 bottles of fake oil. The fake oil brands also vary, ranging from AHM, SPX-2, to Yamalube.
In response, Stanley Tjhie, Brand Development Manager of PT Laris Chandra (STP) regrets the irresponsible individuals who circulate the fake oil.
"STP itself is very concern With counterfeit oil, we also check in the field," said Stanley on Monday (13/12/2021).
Stanley also claims that until now there have been no complaints about the STP brand oil being counterfeited.
To ensure that his product is not counterfeited, Stanley also explained that there are several technologies embedded in the STP oil bottle.
"First, the STP oil bottle cap model is custom It's not made for the public, so if you want to fake it, you have to have capital," he said.
Furthermore, the seal inside the oil cap, which is similar to aluminum foil but thicker, bears the STP logo.
Stanley also mentioned that there is no STP logo on the seal you can be sure that the oil is fake.
In addition, the STP oil bottle itself is made of several layers, so if you open the bottle, you will see 3 layers.
"There are still other technologies that I can't mention, I'm afraid the unscrupulous will find it easy to fake," said Stanley.
For this reason, STP itself also held a competition to cut the oil bottle cap to prevent counterfeiting.
"So we also made a competition for consumers to cut the oil bottle cap, the goal is that the bottle cannot be used by irresponsible people to be falsified," he concluded.
