Covid outbreak again, legalized wild racing postponed

There is bad news for those of you who are fans of street racing that has been legalized by the police. Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya stated that it will temporarily suspend the implementation of legalized wild racing in Jabodetabek in February 2022.

According to the Traffic Director of Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, the move to postpone legal wild racing was forced due to the soaring number of COVID-19 cases in the Omicron variant.

"This plan is due to the high number of covid 19," said Kombes Pol Sambodo as quoted by Gridoto.com, Friday (4/2/2022).

According to him, the Kapolda will meet with the community to discuss this racing event.

"Today there is a Kapolda meeting with the motorcycle community," Sambodo said.

Sambodo added that the Street Racing begins in mid or late February.

The Traffic Directorate has also prepared circuits and meetings with various communities.

"We have not yet opened registration, but we have prepared the circuit, meetings with the community. But when to do it, we will wait for the right time," said Sambodo.

Previously, Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya had also prepared three locations Street Race (street racing) in the three buffer zones of Jakarta.

According to him, the three areas are BSD in South Tangerang, Meikarta in Bekasi Regency, and Vida in Bekasi City.
