The repair of the Semarang-Demak Pantura Road, Central Java, is known to be carried out before the 2023 Lebaran homecoming flow occurs.
For this reason, the Demak Police Traffic Unit was deployed to the repair point on the Semarang-Demak Pantura Road to carry out traffic arrangements.
Kasatlantas Polres Demak, AKP Gargarin Friyandi said that he had coordinated with a number of parties, to overcome the damage to the Semarang-Demak Pantura Road.
From the coordination that has been carried out, it was decided to repair the road at a number of points.
"Later at Km 11 from Semarang to Demak along 600 meters of concrete pavement, the road is casted approximately half a meter and equalized with the lane on the right," said Gargarin, as quoted from Tribunjateng.com, Tuesday (01/31/2023).
He added that the road repair work is expected to take approximately one month.
Therefore, the Semarang-Demak Pantura Road will be ready to be passed, especially during the homecoming flow of Lebaran 2023.
"The work should be carried out for a month, until the 14th of Eid 2023 is completed," added Gargarin.
Kasatlantas Polres Demak said that the police will also implement contraflow on roads that are being repaired.
He also asked the public to use the Semarang-Demak Toll Road, to avoid traffic congestion.
So drivers can enter through the Sayung Toll Gate (GT), then exit towards the Demak Ring Road.
"So there is no need to follow the queue on the Pantura Line, then the traffic arrangement applied is contraflow with three lanes on and one lane off for repairs," he concluded.
