Alex Rins First Podium in Argentina Jumps Straight Up the Standings

Alex Rins' victory in the 2023 American MotoGP race ended the LCR Honda team's long drought.

As quoted from GridOto.com, It's been five years since the LCR Honda team tasted the sweetness of winning a MotoGP race.

The last time a Honda satellite team won was at the Argentina MotoGP race in 2018.

The actor was Cal Crutchlow, who managed to finish at the front of the race at the Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit.

Incidentally, Alex Rins also won the third podium at the race while still defending the Suzuki team.

Meanwhile, the second podium was secured by Johann Zarco, who was then defending the Monster Yamaha Tech3 team.

Lucio Cecchinello as the team owner can be said to enjoy this victory more than the previous one.

Because at the 2018 Argentina race, the winner and podium finishers went completely unnoticed by the fans.

Everyone was busy chasing Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi, who at that time was involved in an incident that made the situation in MotoGP heated up.

Crutchlow even insinuated that the media were rude to him for not even covering the podium.

Before Argentina 2018, the LCR team had also won two MotoGP races.

The man who is now a Yamaha test rider won the two victories in question.

Both happened in 2018, at the Czech and Australian GPs.
