There's a Reason for the Scarcity of Solar in Some Areas of Java

Currently, the scarcity of diesel fuel has occurred in several areas in Java, especially Gresik, East Java and Sukabumi, West Java.

The occurrence of this certainly triggers queues of vehicles, both cars, trucks and buses that snake at gas stations in both regions.

Seeing this condition, Irto Ginting as Pjs Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga also spoke up.

He explained that the consumption of subsidized diesel is currently soaring in line with economic growth.

This high consumption has led to the rapid depletion and scarcity of subsidized diesel at a number of gas stations.

In fact, the subsidized diesel quota for 2022 has been set at 15.1 million kilo liters.

"We are normalizing supply according to demand, considering that until March 2022 the realization of subsidized diesel has exceeded 10 percent," he explained, as quoted from Tribunjabar.id, Monday (28/03/2022).

In addition to the high demand, Irto suspects that there are people who misuse subsidized diesel.

This is evidenced by the arrest of perpetrators of subsidized diesel fuel fraud in South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung by the police.

These individuals take advantage of the high price difference between subsidized and unsubsidized diesel.

For your information, subsidized diesel is still being sold at Rp 5,150 per liter.

As for non-subsidized diesel, the price now stands at IDR 12,950 for Dexlite and IDR 13,700 for Pertamina Dex.

"These unscrupulous people are trying to take great advantage of this condition," he concluded.
