To combat global warming, aka the greenhouse effect, there is good news from Pertamina. As a state-owned energy company, PT Pertamina (Persero) is also moving to prepare energy needs towards the era of battery-based electric motorized vehicles (KBLBB).
This support is realized by moving to prepare downstream infrastructure, namely presenting Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU).
Alfian Nasution, as President Director of PT Patra Niaga, Sub Holding Commercial & Trading said this step was taken to support Government Regulation Number 55 of 2019, as well as Pertamina's contribution to support the reduction of carbon emissions.
"Pertamina Patra Niaga on the downstream side since 2020 has continued to develop supporting infrastructure for the electric vehicle ecosystem, namely SPKLU, by working with several strategic partners," Alfian said in a statement given on Monday, (09/08/2021).
Alfian explained that currently his party has operated 6 SPKLU types. fast charging with a no-cost system until commercialization by the end of this year.
The locations include Fatmawati COCO Service Station, MT Haryono COCO Service Station, Lenteng Agung COCO Service Station, Kuningan COCO Service Station, Soekarno Hatta Airport area Service Station and at Puspitek BPPT Serpong, Tangerang.
According to him, electric vehicle users can come directly to the location and can charge, the charging time with SPKLU Fast Charging ranges from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Then, Pertamina is also developing the SPKLU menu in the MyPertamina application as a service to make it easier for electric vehicle users to use Pertamina's SPKLU.
"One of the things we are currently preparing is also the Battery Swapping Station (BSS) or Public Electric Vehicle Battery Swapping Station (SPBKLU). In the future, all Pertamina gas stations will also be integrated and more environmentally friendly or called the green energy station," said Alfian.
Even so, President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Nicke Widyawati stated that her party continues to be committed to transforming and transitioning energy significantly and quickly.
"Our target on the downstream side is 250-300 green energy station ready to serve the community this year. We are grateful for all the support of strategic partners and the government for Pertamina's efforts in preparing downstream renewable energy infrastructure in Indonesia," Nicke said.
