The discourse on the increase in subsidized fuel prices has not been confirmed by PT Pertamina (Persero), which claims to be still waiting for the government's signal.
Although it is still just a discourse, the widespread news that subsidized fuel prices will increase is enough to make people flock to the nearest gas station.
As quoted from GridOto.com, Several Pertamina gas stations in the Parung area, West Java yesterday evening (31/8) were crowded with queues.
Dozens of vehicles were seen queuing to fill up subsidized fuel, especially for Pertalite gasoline.
The queue was dominated by motorcycles, but not a few cars were also queuing at the pump with nozzle the white color.
Interestingly, one of the gas station attendants who declined to be named said that this booming queue had occurred since this morning.
"This morning the queue was even longer, until it went outside the gas station area," he was quoted as saying. GridOto.com, Wednesday (31/8/2022).

The discourse on subsidized fuel price increases on September 1, 2022 is said to be the reason for the long queues.
Although the officer himself also admitted that he could not confirm whether the price of subsidized fuel would actually increase or not tomorrow.
"Even I who work here don't know for sure (the price of subsidized fuel has increased)," he concluded.
